Our History
In 2007, the City of Dieppe undertook the transformation of its former City Hall into an arts and cultural hub, now known as the Dieppe Arts and Culture Centre. The 1,335 square metre building was converted to provide a tangible public benefit to the Dieppe community in multidisciplinary arts.
The DACC has been growing in popularity since its official opening in 2010 and is now the beating heart of arts and culture in the Greater Dieppe area.
The center wishes to further involve community actors in its promising programming and unifying projects in order to promote arts and culture. Through its strategic projects ( “CHANTE TON CENTRE”, “HARMONIE POUR TOUS”, “SENTIER DE CULTURE”, WINTER CAMPS, SUMMER CAMPS), the center allows many students from schools in the Francophone and Anglophone districts to develop their skills in the arts and culture, in a professional creative space, with trained artists. By participating in these projects, the youth of Greater Dieppe have the opportunity to attend the center, interact with artists, have powerful experiences and appreciate artistic production and creation.
