Call for proposals - open spaces 2026-2027
The Dieppe Arts and Culture Centre (CACD) invites artists to submit a proposal of original artworks for the CACD’s open exhibition spaces. The Dieppe Arts and Culture Centre is a welcoming venue that offers visitors an opportunity to experience artistic, cultural, and human expression in an environment that is both authentic and creative.
Operating since 2010, the CACD’s mission is to democratize arts and culture by making them accessible, while also supporting artists and encouraging creativity among emerging artists, particularly youth. Its mandate includes visual arts, fine crafts, performing arts, music, cinema, video, new media, and literature. The Centre also promotes the expression of diverse cultures, with a special emphasis on Acadian and Francophone culture and programming. It supports the development and presentation of local talent, both emerging and professional, and offers programming for a wide range of age groups, with particular attention to youth and families.
Exhibiting your work at CACD offers the opportunity to promote your artworks both independently and through our promotional efforts, sell your works with only a 20% commission, present your work in a recognized public space, grow your network, increase your visibility, and further develop your professional artistic practice.
Submission Requirements
Artists interested in submitting a proposal must include the following documents in a single PDF file:
- Artistic curriculum vitae (maximum 3 pages)
- Biography (maximum 250 words)
- Artist statement (maximum 250 words)
- Website address or link to the artist’s social media page
- 10 images of artworks
- Detailed list of the 10 artworks (including dimensions, medium, and year)
