Press release - Meeting the sculptor Andrée Lapointe and Thomé Young's show at DACC
(March 18, 2024 - Dieppe) The public is invited to a meeting with sculptor André Lapointe this Thursday, March 21, starting at 5 p.m. at the Dieppe Arts and Culture Centre. The artist, currently in residence at the Center, will offer a lecture and a tour of his studio at 331 Acadie Avenue in Dieppe. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn more about the work of one of Acadie's great sculptors and explore the artistic creation spaces at DACC, which are suited for almost all forms of art.
The meeting with André Lapointe will continue on the same day at the Louise-et-Reuben-Cohen Gallery at the University of Moncton starting at 6:30 p.m. The artist will offer a guided tour of his retrospective exhibition Parcours. The activity is open to all and free of charge. No registration is required!
Francophonie Special: Thomé Young Returns to Dieppe!
On Sunday, March 24th at 7pm, DACC celebrates International Francophonie Week with none other than Thomé Young. As part of this new show, the singer offers an overview of his albums Victoria (2014) and Patsy (2017). He will be joined on stage by Rémi Arsenault and Dillon Robicheau (Backyard Devils). They will revisit his repertoire with an acoustic-folk-bluegrass twist.

IN THE DACC WORKSHOP
Bring your threads and spools! From March 23rd to April 20th, sewing classes are offered in the DACC workshop. Guylaine Joly offers three workshop sessions open to children, adults, and teenagers.
