Biography

Photography and painting reflect Carolle’s passion for the sea. Spending long periods capturing images allows her to fully engage with the elements and with what truly matters. These moments are invaluable to her, enabling her to establish a meaningful connection with her surroundings before interpreting them through her work. Colour, light, and movement are the central themes of her paintings. She paints in multiple layers, a process that enhances the vibrancy of her colours while allowing her to explore transparency and depth. Each canvas becomes both a learning experience and a source of motivation.

During a trip to Spain, Carolle captured hundreds of photographs, intending to bring home memories that she could later translate onto canvas. At Playa de Los Locos, on the Costa Blanca, the dramatic waves, fine golden sand, and shimmering blue and green waters—cherished by both locals and visitors—provided endless inspiration.

Through her paintings, Carolle seeks to share a page from the sea’s diary: a fleeting memory, a moment suspended in time. She paints what moves and inspires her, hoping that her work will, in turn, resonate with the hearts of those who experience it.

Carolle is an Acadian artist from Balmoral, New Brunswick. She is a professional member of the Association acadienne des artistes professionnel.le.s du Nouveau-Brunswick (AAAPNB), a member of Gallery 12 in Moncton, and a member of CARFAC Maritimes. She has presented several solo exhibitions throughout New Brunswick and has participated in numerous group exhibitions, including *Our Neighbours from the North Shore* at Gallery 78 in Fredericton and *From the Republic*. She also exhibited alongside her mother and sister in a group exhibition in Annapolis Royal, Nova Scotia.
